CrossFresh ("the extension") helps you copy your own Facebook Marketplace listings from one Facebook profile to another. This policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with your data.
What the extension stores
All of your listing data is stored locally on your own device using Chrome's storage.local. This includes:
- Listings you capture (title, price, description, category, photos, and Facebook's listing metadata) — saved as drafts so you can post them after switching profiles.
- A small, anonymous install id (a random string — no name, email, or account info) used only to group diagnostic events from the same installation.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your Facebook login, password, cookies, or session tokens. The extension never asks for your credentials.
What leaves your device
- Listing creation. When you click "Continue Cross Post," the extension uses Facebook's own web APIs — with your existing, already-logged-in Facebook session — to upload your photos and create the new listing on the profile you have switched to. This data goes only to Facebook, exactly as if you created the listing by hand.
- Optional "Freshen Text." If you turn on Freshen Text, the listing's title and description are sent to our text-rewriting service (retailelf.com) to be lightly reworded. This is optional and off by default.
- Diagnostics. To keep the extension working as Facebook changes, it sends anonymous diagnostic events when something fails (e.g. "create failed: missing session") and when you tap "Report a problem." These contain the anonymous install id, the extension version, and technical event details — never your Facebook credentials and never your personal photos or message content.
What the extension never does
- It never deletes or edits your original listings.
- It never switches Facebook profiles for you — you do that yourself.
- It never auto-publishes to a profile you have not switched to.
- It never stores or transmits your Facebook password, cookies, or session tokens.
- It does not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to CrossFresh Pro, your license key is sent to retailelf.com only to verify your subscription status. Payments are handled by Stripe; the extension never sees your card details.
Permissions, and why they're needed
- storage / unlimitedStorage — to save your captured drafts and their photos locally.
- tabs — to open the Marketplace create page in a tab when you choose to post, and bring it into focus.
- scripting + host access to facebook.com / fbcdn.net — to read your own listing data and create the new listing through Facebook's own interface.
- Host access to retailelf.com — only for the optional Freshen Text service, license verification, and the anonymous diagnostics described above.
Your control
- Captured drafts live only on your device; "Clear all" in the popup removes them.
- Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
