FlipFresh ("the extension") helps you repost and manage your own Facebook Marketplace listings, and — if you turn it on — reply to buyers with an AI assistant. This policy explains exactly what data is used and where it goes.
What FlipFresh accesses
- Your own Marketplace listings. On your "Your listings" page, FlipFresh reads the listings you own (title, price, description, photos, category, and vehicle/real-estate details) so it can recreate them.
- Your active Facebook session. FlipFresh acts on your behalf using your existing logged-in session, exactly as you would by hand. It never asks for, stores, or transmits your Facebook password.
Reposting — stays in your browser
When you repost a listing, everything happens locally in your browser: the listing is read from Facebook and written back to Facebook only. Your listing content is not sent to FlipFresh's servers for reposting.
AI message assistant (Pro, optional — off by default)
If you enable "AI auto-reply" on a listing, then for that listing's conversations only:
- The extension reads the messages in the conversation (the buyer's messages and your replies) and the listing's title/price, and sends them to our server (retailelf.com) to generate a suggested reply.
- The reply is sent back and posted to the conversation. Message text is used only to generate the reply in real time; we do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
- AI replies are processed by an AI provider (OpenAI) solely to produce the reply. This only happens for listings where you have switched AI on.
You can turn AI off per listing at any time, and FlipFresh stops reading those messages.
Anonymous usage statistics
The extension sends anonymous product telemetry to retailelf.com: a random installation ID (a generated UUID, not linked to you or your Facebook account), the extension version, your operating system name, and event counts (install / update / uninstall / a periodic "still active" ping / whether a repost succeeded or failed). This carries no personal information.
Subscriptions
If you subscribe to Pro, your license key is sent to retailelf.com to verify your subscription status. Payments are handled by Stripe; FlipFresh never sees your card details.
What FlipFresh does NOT do
- It does not sell or share your data, and does not use cross-site tracking or advertising.
- It does not collect your Facebook password, your contacts, or your general browsing activity.
- It does not read or transmit messages for listings where AI is turned off.
Permissions, and why
- Host access to facebook.com / upload.facebook.com / fbcdn.net — read your listings, upload their photos, and create the reposted listing.
- tabs — find your open Facebook tab and report progress.
- scripting — read listing data already loaded in the page.
- storage — remember your preferences, repost reminders, AI settings, and license locally.
